Fall 2023
Great job y’all! My biggest note would be to make sure to add creators and funders. Even if it was funded by the university, then you can put a specific president or the board of trustees and the year. Also, I did this for you this time around, but in the future remember to also add all of your items to the LSL hub site under sites. If you only add it to your spoke site then you items wont show up on the aggregate site with the other partner schools.
Flannery O’Conner Hall
- [x] Add a creator/participating person
- [x] Add a funded by
- [x] Add the resistance act tag
Early Way
- [x] Add a creator/participating person
- [x] Add a funded by
- Do you know when and how the street name marker was taken down? You would want to add that as a date modified and then tag the memorial as altered—destroyed
- Do you know the previous name of the street? That should be added to the background and context and then the memorial should be tagged as altered renamed since it was renamed to Early Way.
The Ryan Medal
- [x] Change your creator/participating person
- [x] Add something to the learn more about this subject field
Thea Bowman Hall
- [x] Add a creator/participating person
- [x] Add something to learn more about this subject
- Maybe add the flannery o conner building item to the learn more about this subject section so that way users on the front end know the items are connected
- [x] Add the resistance act tag
Bowman, Thea
- Does she have any direct connection to Loyola? If so make sure to add that to your biography and to the background and context of the building. I guess I am just not fully understanding why was she chosen to have a building named after her (unless it was just because she was awesome then that's fine!)
- Otherwise nothing needed 🙂
O’Connor, Flannery
nothing needed 🙂
Jenkins Hall
- This is actually a named building. Academic facilities are not free standing. This memorial type would be used for things like classrooms that are dedicated to someone within a building of a different name.
- [x] Change the memorial type to named building
- [x] restructure title to match named building template
Ryan, Abram Joseph
- I did this for you but make sure that you check out our interinstitutional organizations in the data dictionary so that way you can tag relevant people. I tagged Ryan as apart of the confederate military service since he served as chaplain.
- You may also want to go back and link the newspapers he edited and wrote for under employed by. You can link to a webpage or online archive that has the newspapers as URI.
Jenkins, George Carrell
